A mindfulness addiction cure would be something that would be welcome by many people. There is a lot of interest in the possibility of using mediation as a means to combating substance abuse. Alcohol and drug abuse is

The power of meditation is vast -- it might even provide a days addiction treatment -- but it's powers are not absolute. Substance addiction and meditation have been found to light up similar brain terminals. However, with people living in a world of time saving devices and instant coffee, they want to de-stress and experience euphoria in an instant. Since meditation takes a long time to master, many addicts might not have the patience to take it on. Or they might try it, but they will soon drop it.
